Hey everyone,
I've had my Pioneer DVDR-A05 for over a year now! And many thanks to everyone who runs and uses this site for their support and insight into all things DVD-R.
I've loved the drive and it has always seemed to work well. The occasional coaster I blame on faulty media, untill recently. I updated the firmare to 1.31 (or 1.33) whichever is the latest, and I haven't had a problem since. I would recomment to everyone using this drive to get the latest firmware update. It had improved writeability (no more coasters [fingers crossed]) as well as readability with my machine, but more importantly readability of the disc on other stand alone players and dvd-rom drives. If anyone has a similar experience please let me know so that this hasn't just been a fluke of the media I'm using.
