i have a mpeg file i'm wanting to put onto a dvd-r to play in home player. however, when i use roxio, the file is over 6gigs and i need it to be around 4.7 or less. i cannot find a program to use to shrink it, the ones i have tried all want the file to be a iso or video_ts file....what can i do??

Download a trial of TMPGEnc DVD Author. This can create DVD files from DVD compatible mpeg's.

If the file isn't mpeg compatible use a trial of TMPGEnc Encoder, then using a DVD specification template, convert the file. Then put into DVD Author.

Then use software like DVD Shrink to compress the file.

Does Roxio have a place to adjust the bitrate? What's the running time of the MPEG and how big is it?

          Roxio is only burning software.
