    Backups and suround sound

    Hi All,
When copying a DVD does the copy keep the same audio properties so that the copy will play in surround sound if it is on the original?

Also when making a home video are there any apps that will let you make the sound surround sound?

    Thanks,
    CaptK

use DVDshrink and it will copy the audio you want.
en compresse the video to fit on your DVDR.

DVD Shrink is a free and user-friendly dvd backup tool, enabling you to make backup copies of your DVDs to a single DVD±R/RW or Dual-Layer DVD+R. DVDs too big to fit on a DVD±R can be edited and/or compressed. DVDShrink.info does not condone the copying of DVDs in countries where it is illegal.

Yes-if you have the audio equipment to replicate surround sound or DTS.

Ulead DVD Workshop 2 has a simulate surround option that works pretty good.
