Playback Sipping Problem

Hi all,

I'm pretty new to all this so pls be gentle

I am having BIG BIG BIG problems with playback of most of the DVD's i have burnt.

I'm using the latest version of DVD Shrink 3.1.7.6 and Nero Express 6.3.1.17. Before updating my firmware on my LG GSA-4082B and updating my versions of software I had no problems with the DVD's i had burnt and this was on Princo software. After reading many posts on here regarding similar issues i had taken advice accordingly.

However, after updating drivers and software the DVD's are constantly skipping through the whole movies and/or some instances at the end refuse to play. I do not watch the whole movie but go straight to the end to check if the problem exists. I do not multitask through backing up, shrinking and burning processes. I am using Ritek (Ridata) GO4 DVD-R 4x.

PLEASE HELP!!! I'm desperate!! Can't troubleshoot anymore... Desperate time... Desperate measures....

Try running a DVD/CD cleaning disc on your burner. Maxell makes one that retails for approximately $10US...

This is very wierd. I updated my firmware and it fixed all my problems with DVD burning.

Have you tried burning on 2x?
I also started doing this, and it fixed up alot of playback problems.

I pointed a fan at my dvd player and it has almost eliminated all of my end of movie skipping and freezing. Check to see if this helps you. I guess heat has something to do with it.

Do you mean Princo "Media"? I would strongly suggest that you purchase some Ritek G04 media.
