Copying and having black & white rolling screen

Just checking guys/girls

When making a backup Having a problem where the screen is black and white and screen rolling.

Friend of mine has done them also and has no problems on the dvd player yet mine do this. what could be the problem??

Sounds like PAL/NTSC issues.

NTSC on a PAL only TV will come out in B&W. The rolling is usually caused by 50hz and 60hz differences.

Are dvd 9's from US these are Region 1. So would this be the problem you think perhaps.

Problem is so do work and some dont???
