burned dvds turn out to be blank

    Hi,

I have a DVD which I tried to copy by using nero to create image file first and then burning the image file. There are 2 discs to the DVD. The second one worked like a charm. But the first one for some reason burns out blank. (It IS burned when I looked under the DVD) but when i put it into the DVD ROM, it shows nothing. When I put it into a dvd player, there's nothing. What's going on with that? I tried with DVD Cloner, same thing.

    beefy.

Did you first decrypt (remove copy protection) the DVD?

Did DVDDecrypter generate any error messages?

Nope. Nothing. It looked like everything was fine. I tried virtual cd software on the iso images. And those work too. I don't know why it doesn't work onto the DVDs. I know it's not the burner's problem because the part 2 (which is disc 2) worked.

Nvm. Problem solved. I shrunk the DVD to about 85% and it worked. But I don't see why I could burn it on before and still couldn't be read. Like why does having a bigger size affect the ability to have it read or not?

Which version of Nero are you using. The early versions are reported to be buggy. If this is your case update Nero. I am assuming here that the dvd files play fine from your HDD using the PC player.
