New Region Code on DVD-R doesn't work!

I just installed DVD Shrink 3.2 and DVD Region Code+CSS Free today on my laptop. My DVD burner is Sony DRX-700UL.

I was so happy when one of the tabs in the window before burning indicates that I can choose to set the region code for my DVD-R that is going to be burned.

The original disc is a Zone 6 disc, and I have tried burning 2 discs, one with "region-free" and the other "1".

However, my super sensitive Sony DVD player rejected both of these discs, saying the usual "The playback of this disc in this area is prohibited."

Then I later checked on my computer that the discs have the region code of "1,2,3,4,5,6,8"

Just wondering if anybody knows the solution to this. Thanks

Thanks for you help. But what I want to do is to have ALL Region 1 players able to play my disc. Like for example, I might want to share it with friends or watch something on another player.

You get what I mean?
