BenQ 4X 4.7GB DVD-R/DVD+R Media, Good? or Bad?

Hello,

new to the forum, in need of some more dvd writables and looking for some advice,

I've seen a BenQ 200-Pack 4X 4.7GB DVD-R or DVD+R for under $100.00 CAN which seems like a good deal to me, that is if they're good quality and I won't be makeing a bunch of coasters.

Has anybody here used these before and have any feedback on them, the sale ends in a few days then the pack goes back up to $230.00 CAN.

Also I'm would be using them to back up my DVD collection, which format is better? DVD-R or DVD+R My dvd player plays both no problem, but I seem to get more errors when burning dvd-r then +r.

Apparently the dye type and quality of it are from DAXON but Linkyo as put their name to them as well.

Personnaly never heard of eitheir. I wouldnt buy those for the sake of the price or the convinience of purchasing them "down the road".

I never had problem with Ritek media with G-04 type A grade dye

As for your errors with the -R flavour I would need more information on which sort of errors you experience to make an informed comment on it, post back with that info.
