have just bought my first ever DVD writer, and using a copy of DVD shrink.
My PC is fairly new. I also have a CD writer.
I use the CD writer to burn audio only, and use the DVD for everything else, ie reading utility disks, game disks etc.
When I try to run DVD shrink after installation I am getting a reading error. When I try to boot up the PC with a film in the drive the PC either takes ages to boot up or it hangs.
I have copied a DVD disk with a few gigs of data on it onto another DVD disk by copying to hard drive, then burning it back onto the blank disk with no problem.
But when I put a film into the DVD drive.....
I have used roxio, nero, and both. Nothing makes a difference. To get the disk out again I have to re-boot the PC if it locks up, then everything is right as rain again when the disk is removed.
I have disabled my zone alarm, and that didn't do anything?
