Error Message. Please Help!

So my burner has been acting up quite a bit lately. The most recent error message i've been having in Nero is this:

"Driver is in use by another application"

Now, as far as i know, there is no other application using my driver and when i click on the dvd-r drive in My Computer, i get this message:

"E:\ is not accesible.
Incorrect Function."

I have no idea what the problem is here, but windows says the device is working fine, and the driver is up to date. Anyone know what i can do to fix my drive??

If your OS is Windows XP, do a "System Restore" and select a restore point to when everything was working properly.

not sure why, but system restore never works for me. thanks for the tip though.

Very likely you have some sort of program like Neros InCD installed that are trying to access your burner.

any idea how i could check to see if that is the case and/or remove this program? I've already tried to remove the entire nero program, but i think you're right that a program such as "in cd" is still lingering around somewhere. Thanks.
