Is it possible to burn a dvd using FAT32?

Is it possible to copy a dvd using the fat32 file system that splits up the dvd files instead of creating one iso file?
I have ripped a few dvds and it creates a whole heap of files because it cant create a file bigger than 4.2 gb which is most dvd's.
How do i burn these created files to make a dvd? Is it possible? Or is it a waste of time?

Fat32 is no big deal. If you use the new v3.2 of DVDShrink it will output an ISO in 1gig chunks for DVDDecrytper to burn. I generally rip a movie to the HDD with Decrytper in File mode which gives me a series of BUP, IFO, and VOB files that I burn using Nero after DVDShrink reduces the movie to 4.3 or less gigs. You did not mention which programs you are using.

Added note: This old Vaio is using ME and has not let me down yet.

Yes - but it would be advisable to save (backup) the project to a standard "DVD Package" (i.e., IFO, BUP, and VOB files) because the main VOB files will be split into 1 Gig or less files. A single ISO image file will almost always exceed the 4 Gig filesize limitation of FAT32.
