can anyone help me please, backed up a few dvd's using latest dvd shrink and nero, did not alter any settings and film copied fine, only problem is copied dvd will only play back on my arcam dvd player, will not play on pc or any other player, what am I doing wrong? i have used dvd-r blank dvd's, anyone who can offer some advice, thanks very much.

I would try a higher quality media such as Ritek. Also check the compatibilities/limitations of your other standalone player by visiting:

cheers for that, the dvd's i am using are mirror, because the copied films would not play on at least 5 different players i thought i had missed a setting in dvd shrink, are you saying that is not the case and it is definatley the players i am using and the quality of the discs? a friend sent me a backed up movie for comparison and his worked on my pc and all my players, he was using ridata blank discs?Comment

If your friend was indeed using Ritek, then it should be clear as to the solution of your problem - as I indicated in my previous post:
