Wont burn at 8x

Burner is Pioneer 108 which has been flashed to the latest
Using Ritek DVD+R 8x
I tell DVD Shrink to burn at 8x but it only burns at 4x
Anybody got any secrets?

What program do you use for burning? If Nero - you have the latest updates installed?

Yes using Nero Reloaded which is the latest
