    dvd shrink locks pc

    I have recently formatted my hard drive and reinstalled XP. Since then whenever i try to copy a dvd uising dvd shrink, the pc locks up during the backup process. I have a AMD xp250+ processor, 2gig ram, 200 gig free hd space.

      Yes it runs at around 25 degrees

        If it is celcius degrees - just curius - which cooling system are you using? If I want such a degree - I have to put my PC into my freeezer...

          Hi. What was the reason for the above ? and which version of XP are you using ?
          If it ain't afloat .... It's sunk .... If it ain't broke.... leave it alone.... I was once indecisive....Now I'm not sure....

          I'm old enough to know better...BUT...too young to give a toss...

            I lost some operating files from win 2000 and when i went to repair it i found the disk to be damaged. I have now installed xp pro with service pack 2. It appears that some of my hardware drivers had conflicts with sp2 and could only be corrected by downloading the latest drivers. The reason for my post turned out to be a conflict between the cd rom and the dvdr rom. It was also necessary to update the firmware on the dvdr.

              If it is celcius degrees - just curius - which cooling system are you using? If I want such a degree - I have to put my PC into my freeezer...


              I dont know what cooling system it is, but it takes up most of the free space in the tower and sounds like a jet engine taking off when the temperature goes over 30deg
