problems burning scratch dvds

anyone knows how to backup scratch dvds? i tried to use dvd x rescue but the final burn is not playing on my dvd player or computer, i also tried to backup the backup i made on dvd x rescue using dvd shrink but i'm getting an Invalid Dvd Navigation Structure error. does anyone have answers?

There are DVD/CD scratch repair kits out for sale in some shops like pc world etc. that will repair the scratch (depending on severity) to make it readable again... These work if the layer that contains the data as not been damaged...

Backing up such a DVD can happen much the same as a normal DVD using DVD Shrink...
