    First timer

    I just got a Plextor PX-712A and some Sony DVD-R media discs.

    I want to make a copy of the DVD Gattaca that will work on my pc or tv dvd player. I have briefly looked at some software I might need in order to do this but am unsure of the most efficient way. Do I need DVD X Copy, or Clone DVD, or DVD Shrink? Do I have to worry about any disc protection... things... that they put on movies?

    If anyone could help me out or maybe link me to a nice tutorial I would be greatly appreciative.

      Admin have provided a link to a full tutorial in the newbie section.... somewhere
      Download the decrypter and DVD shrink first, the links are in there too.
      Just look around...fascinating stuff...though over my head in places.

      Been lookin round for a couple of hours and have found out more than a month of random googling.
      Great place look forward to learning more coz I know very little

          You need only two superb freeware programs - DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink...
