I think it might be a media problem

    Hello all,

I'm hoping someone can help me with my delemia.

First of all I'm using the following.
    DVD Writer: Toshiba SD-R5272
    DVD Player: Toshiba SD-2800
Media used: HP dvd+r 8x and Teon DVD+r 8x and also the dvd+r that came with the drive.

Here we go. I've tried to burn multiple times and can not get a dvd to play in my player, except for the one that came with the player. Non brand name. I'm using DVDshrink 3.2 and the updated Nero 6.6.0.3. I'm thinking it may be the media i'm using. After looking at the forums I've come to the conclusion that the HP will probably not work for me. What I don't understand is why the one out of the three has worked and can not get the others to. Could I also be doing something wrong in the settings. I've followed all the manuals possible also. The nonbrand dvd is the only one I could get to work. I have most of the my movies backed up to my hard drive for right now but would like the kids to use copies instead. Any suggestions?

To determine the capabilities/limitations of your DVD burner, as well as media compatibility, go to:

(If necessary, open the Device Manager in the Control Panel to determine the make and model number)

To determine the capabilities/limitations of your specific brand and model of standalone DVD player, as well as media compatibility, go to:
