    DVD-R compatibility and affidability

    Hi,
I've burned a lot of DVD-R Princo and some others.
In particular with Princo media, I've seen that the burned dvd often has a lot of problem near the end of the movie (I've read some post with this problem, I know that Princo DVD-R are not the best media on the market...), but there are some strange, strange behavior. I always check the dvd after burning (Nero never shows any type of problem) and I always see shortly all the movie, also checking randomly in all the movie (particularly near the end of the track), but I often have the problem in the home DVD player.
In the cases I try to read the dvd in another dvd player in a pc, but near the end of the movie I can't see nothing...
I don't know if the media is not readable after about one hour (warmth??) or if the media can unexpectedly become out of order.
With these dvd I've made some check (with the analisys of DVD Shrink, with "CD check", attempting to copy and paste the files in the hard disk) but in the same time I've met the problem the results are always the same: error!! In other dvd player one day after probably the results can be different...
In the DVD there are "0" and "1"!!!How can be different the read of "0" and "1" ???

    DVD writer: LG 4040B
    DVD Shrink 3.2
    Nero 6.3.1.17
    DVD-R Princo 4x
Home DVD player: Samsung M205 (old...)
other DVD writer/player used to play the defective dvd-r : Nec 3500A

    Thanks in advance,
    Cippalippa from Italy

I would strongly suggest that you start using a higher quality brand of media such as "Ritek" (Ridata).

I've already buyed Ritek, but my question is: the old DVDs (Princo) that seem good are really good? And the "bad" are really bad?
Is the warmth the problem? Yesterday I've seen the end of a movie that the day before I can't see...
      Thanks
