    No Disk.

Hi hopefully someone has had this happen. I am trying to watch The Forgotten on my labtop and I use power dvd to watch most of my movies. With this movie though it will not open automatically and when I go to my computer and click on the e drive it replies there is no disk. Any ideas? I had problems on DVD players but I thought it was because they were older versions. Thanks.

Hopefully, you are referring to an ORIGINAL, COMMERCIAL DVD. If not, please state how the burned DVD was created.

It is POSSIBLE that your laptop's drive is not capable of dealing with the new "Arccos" protection scheme (bad sectors) that was used on "The Forgotten" - and is becoming more prevalent with each week's new releases...

Does the DVD play properly on a (newer) standalone DVD player?

It is a commercial copy, I have played burned and other commercial dvd's on the labtop with no problems.

Again, does the DVD play properly on a (newer) standalone DVD player?

"I have played burned and other commercial dvd's on the labtop with no problems."

This would not preclude the possibility that your laptop cannot deal with the recently introduced "Arccos" protection...

Sorry, I gapped on that one. Yes, it is currently playing. I have tried the dvd decryptor, slyfox and neither pick up that there is a disk in the drive.

Okay I re-installed the software that came with the dvd rw and checked the cd video box, I rebooted and as I put in the Forgotten, AnyDVD immediately decrypted it! Thanks.
