    DVD playback problems

I have problems with pauses in playback on my DVD player, only on movie DVDs that I have created from MPEG2 files with Nero 6.6. These DVD's play fine on my computer. I don't have this problem when I copy movie DVDs using Nero. They play fine on both the computer and the DVD player.

Has anyone else had this problem?

The pauses that you see might be due your your players lack to use lower resolution trancoded material. Your Standalone might be strugling with the low bitrate.

      DVD Playback problems, now labels

I think I solved the problem. I removed the "Full CD Label" that was on one of the MPEG2 converted to movie DVD and it played great; zero pauses.

What now doesn't make sense is why don't the backed-up DVD Movies that I made do the same thing using the same labels. I've done a bunch of them and none do it. I have 4 movie DVDs that were made from MPEG2 and they all do it.

All labels were applied using the same labels and stomper.

Is there more room for error built into the commercial made movie DVDs than what Nero 6 does when it makes a movie from a MPEG file?

No it was more then likely just a bad centering on the label.
        Cheers!
