need help with shrink 3.2

I used shrink 3.2 to backup my movies on dvd+r memorex 8.5. And the problem is that my computer can read the dvd but i cannot play them on other dvd player.

What's the problem?

It's a dual layer disk right?

Did you set the bookmark - this is almost mandatory for DL disks. See http://forum.digital-digest.com/show...threadid=46559

I do understand that the quality of the Memorex DL disks isn't first rate, even though they are Ritek manufacturered. Somewhat paradoxically, the Verbatims, at least at this stage, have a better reputation. See here for a comparison.

BTW: Why use DVD Shrink to backup when you have a DL disk? I do hope you didn't have "remove the layer break" checked. Best way to backup with DL is Read disk in ISO Read mode with DVD Decrypter and then Write to Disk in ISO write mode. No need for anything else.

i'll try to backup my copy and change the bookmark with dvd decrypter.

I used this programm because it was the first than i get and it worked for all dvd which i backup on a 5 gb dvd. But i'll try with dvd decrypter and i'll tell you. thanks for your advice.

My dvd player is a phillips so i heard that it prefer a specific format but i didn't remeber if it was dvd+r or dvd-r.

Take a look here for media brand/format compatibilty with your Philips
