    Drive clicking

    Hi,
i've got collateral and Manchurian candidate from a friend but i can't back them up....when put them in my nec 3500 the drive just clicks and clicks as if the drive can't see anything....i've tried anydvd and a few other programs. My drive is flashed with tdb 2.18 for that drive.

The disks are nice and clean, not just burns etc..., do you think they are incorrectly pressed?
Do you have any tips for trying to get it to read the disks.? I can't even see them in explorer...

Thanks for all your help in advance.

Have you had any trouble with your NEC drive reading other commercial DVDs beside the ones you mentioned?

No, it works fine with every single dvd i've ever bought. Just these two seem to be a problem. I'm not 100% sure they are kosher disks. I think my mate got them cheap. They look very authentic though. Anyway back to the problem. No, no other problems. Very strange.

      any other ideas.?

As i said i can't even see them let alone play/'rip them!?

"it works fine with every single dvd i've ever bought."

You stated in your initial post that "i've got collateral and Manchurian candidate from a friend but i can't back them up..."

If you do not "Own" these DVDs yourself, then further disscussion of this topic is a violation of the rules of the forums so I won't contribute further to this thread. Read rule #6.

            Yes same region.
So am i not allowed to back them up for him.?
I don't have to own it myself to back it up. I can back it up for someone else as a favour.?! As long as i don't keep the disks myself that it not a violation.
