"incorrect function" error

Hi folks,

It looks like the ArCCos has struck me again.

First it was with the movie "Intermedio" which I've had no luck with despite using dvddecrypter, dvdshrink, dvd2one,nerorecode, dvd43 (running in the background). thanks ormonde for trying to help me!

Now, I'm trying to backup "September Tapes". I get a different error when I try to open the dvd using dvdshrink. it says:

"Incorrect Function". It also says something about how it's unable to read from my d: drive.

I read on the forum that this error has to do with copying from a poorly burned disk (that is, making a second copy). But this is a brand new disk and dvd shrink won't even open it. I've tried running DVD43 in the background since it has better handling for ArCCos encryption but I still get the same error.

I hope someone can help me!

i should also mention that when i used dvddecrypter, it threw up an error telling me about bad information on a particular sector.

I dunno what to do...

guys, i think this one is a false alarm. I took a look at the original disk and it looks all scratched up. I don't know how it could've possible gotten there, but thanks.

And do get rid of DVD43 - it's a bummer and is known to cause conflict with DVD Decrypter.
