2 Pass encoding and divx5 in Vdub

Forgive me for being an idiot, but im trying to make a 2 pass encode using divx5 and Vdub and i am having a terrible time with it. I simply cannot make it work. i encode the first pass, select the second pass and encode again and Vdub locks up. another interesting note, the dvd im trying to encode will not encode on my machine at home (Athlon XP 1900), it freezes at 9995 frames. where as the machine im playing with at work (P4 2.5 GHZ) does it just fine. im using all the same versions of software. any help on either question would be greatly appreciated.
