how to make 1 divx file into 2????

ok i just ripped and converted my first movie and it plays perfect and all but it came out as one big file (a little over a gig), which of course is too big to put on a single disc, so my question is what program do i need to get to convert that one big file into two smaller files, like making the movie into 2 parts??

Get virtualdub u can split any size divx avi movir in to just by cutting the movie in half when you get virtualdub go www.google.com and type in [cut avi in half using virtualdub] its a guide for cutting movies
