Help with encoding with nero

Hi I wonder if anyone can help. I am downloading movies in divx dvd rip(dv3 codec) which are of superb quality however when I encode them to svcd and copy them to disc through Nero certain sections of the movie have a purple colour thruogh them.Can anyone tell me why this is and if there is any way to rectify it?Thank you for any help I may receive it is much appreciated.Regards

Encode with Nero ----NO

Don't encode with Nero. It sucks. Use tmpgenc to encode and Nero to burn
