converting .AVI to .mpa & .d2v

I have 700 mb .avi movies and I want to convert them to .mpa & .d2v format to burn to a dvd-r is this possible?

are u wanting to create a DVD? if so,:

follow the wizard to create a DVD.

choose the AVI as the source file..

let it encode, once done, burn it as a DVD using ur DVD R software and all should be well......
