divx 3.11 to 4.02

i just bought an xcard and i have to convert divx 3.11 to 4.02 .Can someone explain me how i do this with virtualdub


I 've tried several times with a 10mb file and the result of this is always the same when the project is finnished i end up with a 1.6mb file ?

1. Open file in Virtualdub.
2. Set Video tab to Full Processing Mode and Audio tab to Direct Stream Copy
3. Under video tab, go to Compression and select the codec DivX 4.12 or preferrably the newer 5.02
5. Configure the codec settings. This will be a rather lengthy discussion and I recommend that you find a guide on this
6. Go to File -> Save as AVI and give a name to the new file
