    2 pass in DVD2AVI

    Hi!

I want to encode a movie (VOB) into a DivX-File (AVI).
The movie is very long and for best results I want to do 2-pass encoding.
There is an option in the File menu of DVD2AVI saying "Save AVI (2 pass)". But this option is greyed out.
So I have to use "Save AVI", select 2-pass, first pass. And after this first pass, I have to do the same but select 2-pass, second pass.
Is there a way to do this automatically?
I'm sure that the option "Save AVI (2 pass" does it for me. But why is it disabled?

I am using DivX 5.02 Pro.

    Thank you!
    Bye!

Perhaps because it doesn't work with divx5.02, options like that have the slight problem that they have to be hardcoded for a specific codec version.

For automatic 2-pass encoding with divx5.02 you should try GordianKnot 0.26

Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.
