300000 frame max in flask 0.59.4

I have been trying to encode a smartripper 2.41 rip of godfather pt 1 with flask 0.59.4 with divx 5.0.2. The file encodes up till 300000 frames and then stops. Any reason for this? All the vob files are present, I can play them in powerdvd. Flask recognizes all of them also when I use file mode. I downloaded flask 0.60 preview but don't know if that will make any difference. Thanks!

Check under Global Project Options -> General -> Compiling Time, and make sure that Compile Whole File is checked.

yeah, i made sure the box was checked, lowered the bitrate ~100, re-encoded and still the same. oddly, the value is 12512.51 seconds which is about 3.47 hours which would still be enough. i toggled it to 'frames' and it miraculously changed to 299999! interesting. i entered 599999, left the compile whole file unchecked and am trying again. will let you know tomorrow.

This apparent single file limitation of Flask v.0.594 (but not later versions) has been noted in previous postings. You can either circumvent this problem by selecting the "Split Files" (set to 3600 seconds) option. Alternatively, you may choose to use either a subsequent version of Flask or a different conversion program.
