I am using flaskmpeg .6 preview to encode a movie w/ divx5.02. When I go to select the audio codec, there is no option for MPEG Layer 3. I am stuck with PCM and the sound is like crap. how do i get the mp3 audio codec for flask? Thanks.
You can choose to process the audio separately, which also gives better quality and versatility. Here's how:
1. Use Graphedit/Vob2Audio to extract audio to WAV
2. If you wish, you can amplify the volume of the WAV using a sound editor, such as Cooledit
3. Convert the WAV to MP3 using an MP3 encoder, such as LAME
4. Mux the MP3 with the video you have created using nandub
I beliebve that Flask v.6.xx has a "dislike" for the LAME Mp3 codec - especially if you have both LAME and the Radium (Fraunhoefer) codecs installed. Uninstall the LAME codec. If not presently installed, install the Radium .MP3 codec. Reboot your system.
