    avi to divx

    Hi! I have a Digital 8 camcorder - Sony TRV 720 NTSC and I use Ulead Video Studio 4.0 to capture to HDD. I want to convert into DivX file but VirtualDub can't open the captured avi file. A message appear: "Video for Windows codec is needed". Please give me an advice. Thanks!

      So when you put the video onto your Hard Drive it is a avi file?

          You probably need to install one of the several DV codecs available for download in the Tsunami or Nemo codec "packs"...

              Thanks for the annswer. Yes, it is an avi file. DV encoded. 20 min = 4 Gb.
