Pink colourings on playback on any divx 3.11 films thus effects output divx 4 or 5

Has anyone out there encountered problems with playback on virtualdub or indeed converting Divx 3.11 to Divx 4 or 5 since it keep encoding some pink colouring on the screen..it comes in waves and it effects the viewing quality of the film.

I think it might be cause with either one of more of these factors

I have some strange codec installed on my machine
I've upgraded all software components, xp sp2, nvida 4.0 latest driver, virtual dub 1.4.10

Oh the film plays fine in media player...

in premiere 6.0 and virtualdub the playback again suffers from the pink colouring effect.

Any help /pointers would be great,,

It seems to me that you are observing the pink effects on VD and Premiere, though the movie plays correctly in media player. Did I get you right? If so, have you catually tried converting the video to DivX 4.x/5.x and playing the resultant AVI in media player? Are the effects reproduced?

There is no WinXP SP2 yet! And the latest version of VD is 1.4.11.
