    Problems with DivX to MPEG2 DVD-R

    I have a brand new DVD-RW drive I'm using, and
    I just downloaded a DIVX movie in which now I'd like to convert it to having the capability of playback on a set-top dvd player. However, I used TMPGEncode to encode my DIVX movie into an mpeg2 file using it's DVD-R MPEG2 wizard. After the routine 11 hours of encoding, it leaves me two files, a.) the video file. b.) the audio file. The video file looks fantastic at 720x480, however the audio file is silent. I've tried playing the audio (.wav) file in a number of programs (WMP, PowerDVD, WinDVD, Ulead) and the audio is just not having it. So, to avoid burning a silent DVD movie, I need to know what I need to do. Any suggestions? Thanks guys.

    Does the audio play on the original DivX-compressed .AVI? If so, try extracting the audio as a .WAV file, by using VirtualDub.

    Let us know of your success ;>}
