Using VDUB filters with DIVX

Ive done some divx encoding with xmpeg, found it pretty easy but just dosnt have that nice clean look like ive seen with some divx stuff that ive downloaded.

I found some vdub filters that make the movie look awesome, is there anyway i can apply these to a divx movie without recompressing the divx film, i would assume compressing something that is already compressed isnt a very good thing to do. Also is there anyway i can apply these filters to a VOB file encoding into divx, and if so is there anyway to open a .ifo file in vdub?

a long dramatic movie w/ low action its quickerto encode.

How awesome?I get perfect looking DivX movies without using any filters.Only two pass encoding.

Nope.Filters in VDub can only be used in Full Processing Mode.

True.Quality will be reduced due to re-compressing.

I don't quite understand.Are you planning on adding VDub filters to the vob's before encoding?Are you not satisfied with the DVD quality?

Ive tried using GK and it all seems pretty intimidating compared to xmpeg/flask, but i guess i should quit thinking like a n00b and use GK. I use 2 pass encoding as well, just seems like the stuff i have downloaded looks smoother and cleaner than what i have produced with the divx 5 codecs in xmpeg. I wasnt really thinking about the vob statements when i made them so nvm that part. Thanks for the input.

Actually, you should add the lousy DivX 4 codec to my hated list as well.
