    Audio volume changes while encoding?

I want to encode a music video(mpeg) into divx.
As the mpeg has a volume extremely low, my soundcard is connected to my stereo and I have to set volume almost to max to hear well, is there a way I can change the volume in order to have a "normal" divx file?
    Thanks

    1. Open the MPG file in Virtual/nandub
    2. Set the Audio tab to Full Processing Mode
    3. Under the same tab, go to Volume and select the appropriate amount for volume increase
    4. Under the same tab, select your MP3 codec and an appriate bitrate

That's about it for volume increase. I assume you know enough how to convert an MPG to AVI using VD.

Is that not exactly what I just said in this thread? Besides amplifying a sound stream definitely required reencoding, which is just about what I was talking about here.
