to BeSweet or not to BeSweet

why or what is the difference between transcoding AC3 to MP3 before i put it in GKnot? why not let GKnot let it do it.
i made some test and i have the same result. so waht is the point ?
there must be somethig i dont get ?

Doesn't GK use besweet anyway ?

I do it seperately as i like to do just video with GK and then encode and mux the audio seperately with besweet / razorlame and nandub.

Depends on personal preference I think.
