This is what I do and please tell me if I'm wrong anywhere.
My pc configuration: PIII 450MHz, 128MBRam, 30GBHDD, 12xDVD, RivaTNT2 32MB, CD-RW.
Programs used: Smartripper, DVD2AVI, Graphedit, Lame, Nandub or Vdub, VobSub, VFAPI and a bitrate calculator.
Ok. I rip the files to HDD using Smartripper. Extract the audio using Graphedit. Create a VBR-MP3 using Lame. Until here everything is alright. I then open the vobs in DVD2AVI and let the preview run for a while. The Film is at 95%+ so I activate Force Film. This saves my project in 23.996 frames(I think). The using Vfapi I load everything in Vdub and start encoding. After 13 hours I get a DivX which is seriously out of sync since the video is 24 fps where as the audio is still at 29.976.
Is there any way I can fix this?
Also I will try and encod3 Frank Herberts' Dune into DivX but I want to have 3 CDs, an episode per cd. How can I do this?
