    Unable to encode beyond 10,000 frames

    Hi,
    I'm trying to encode an mpg file to avi format using VDub and Divx Pro 5.0.3 (adware). The file is encoded up to frame 10,000 and it chokes on the next frame (10,001). I tried other mpg files and the same thing happened. Any ideas what is causing this problem?
    Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks.

    I just found out that the problem is with my MP3 encoder not Divx or VDub. I removed all MP3 codecs (3 found) using codec-sniper and reinstalled my trusty MP3 encoder. All works.

      The Creative .MP3 codec was your culprit ;>}

        Thanks "Emperor"; very helpful. I will keep this in mind when updating/installing creative drivers.
