    choppy .avi file

    Hello all !
First post to this board, hoping that someone out there can help me.

I recorded a tv show ( 1hour long ) using my tv card, and i used virtual dub with divx as the compressor to make an .avi file.

The .avi plays great for about 25 minutes or so, then all of a sudden it gets all "blocky" and looks real bad for about 3 or 4 minutes, then goes back to normal. Than about 20 minutes later, it does the same thing, gets all fuzzy and blocky, then goes back to normal.

While i was recording it, i didn't notice it going bad at all.

Is there a program or plugin out there that can make the bad sections look good again????Or better than it already is?????

    thanks

      I captured it with a 4000 kbit /sec i think !
I know that i set it to 4000 using the divx pro 5.03 codec.
the file is 55 minutes long, and about 650 megs in size !
when i transfer it to mpeg using tmpeg, it comes to about 400 megs in size.
