frequency of sound

I've just downloaded the pianist and it plays. i then downloaded the nimolite pack and it has sound, but the sound is really low in frequency, like a growl. plus when i was installing the nimolite pack it flashed sayin the MSVCR70.dll file was missing and it cannot run properly, does anyone know what is causing this and how i could fix it? i use windows Xp and the latest version DIVX movie viewer, cheers.
