Nandub divx join --> audio sync problems

    Hi,

I have problem joining two divx files using Nandub. Both files are perfectly in sync, but when I join them, I always get audio out of sync in the second part of the movie (the added one) - approximately 1 sec.

I tried also separately join first video (using nandub) and then audio (using mp3 splitter&joiner), but there was difference in total length! Video only is 218 min and 48 sec, and separately joined audio is 218 min and 47 sec! why?

    Thanks in advance.

    P.S.

Those two files are Felowship of the Ring Extended Edition, I intend to fit those 2 DVDs to 3 700Mb CDs (2CD isn't enough, too low bitrate for my taste); so both files are 1280 kbps video and 160 kbps vbr-mp3 audio; I used Gknot 0.28

    Solved!

I checked both files with Synchronizer 0.08, and the first file had audio 720ms shorter than its video! (but perfectly synchronized nevertheless), probably at the end of file.

So, I set "Audio skew correction" in Nandub at the begining of the second file (tried several times - 1720ms skew was good, don't know why), and then joined the files.

Still, I would appreciate if someone could explain why these things happened:

    1. Why was the audio shorter than the video in the first file (FotR SE DVD1 rip)?
    2. Why I had to put ~1700ms skew at the beginning of the second file - why not 720ms?
