    I have a problem...

I have encoded all the outtakes (bloopers) from all 7 DVDs of men behaving badly. Each clip is approx 1-2min. I have encoded them using:
    Video: DivX 4.12 @ 700kbps + 384x288dpi
    Audio: Mpeg Layer-3 @ 96kbps Stereo
In total there are about 30 clips, so now I want to join them all into one file but...
...when I do this using VirtualDub 1.4.8 as I append (add) each clip to join them together the sound is de-synced more and more until when I get to the last clip and if finishes the sound is out by what seems to be about 30 seconds.
Now I would simply shrink the sound file but the problem with that is it is also desynced because I think that when VirtualDub complies all the files into one file I think it puts a small gap of silence in between the files, instead of simply stretching the file to make it longer.
I could sit and delete the gaps but this would take ages. Is ther another program I can use that dosn't do this, or a way of making VirtualDub function correctly so that these "extra bits of sound" are not added. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Please could somebody email me (the_woodz@yahoo.co.uk) if they have a solution. Thank you!

Try resaving all but the first file with the "Audio" "Interleaving' "preload" set to
    -0-
