[VirtualDub]Sync Error

I was trying to covert a mpg file to a divx avi file when I got this sync error at a specific frame, and nothing that i can think of solves this problem.

I put Sync to audio of, i tried frame rate conversion, turned the filters of etc. All de frame are readable, no bad ones....

anybody?

what version of VirtualDub are you using? Use v1.4.8 (the latest one)

I just installed 1.4.8 so I figured that might cause the problem (since I've never seen this error) but 1.4.7 gave the same.

The problem seemed to be connected to a few frames. on my video player (BSPlayer) these frames freezed for a small moment (thought VD found no bad frames...?) examening them in VD revealed some weird images/compression artefacts.

I finally deleted the frames and that seems to work... to bad though VD couldn't find or fix the problem. TMPGEnc also crashed on it while loading so I haven't an idea how to fix this, but then again, these 15 frames or so where already lost (not played anymore)...

maybe the error came into the file due to a bad file transfer?
