    Problems with VFAPI

    Please forgive me if this is the wrong forum for this question...

    I am having trouble getting VFAPI to create a "fake AVI". I am using:

    DVD Decrypter 3.1.6.0
    DVD2AVI 1.77.4
    VFAPI 105

    I have followed the instructions on Nicky's and Divx Digest, but with both I get the same problem, where VFAPI says "Cannot create AVI File". I have reinstalled the VFAPI DLL, tried a different version of DVD2AVI, as well as ripping with SmartRip... all produce the same error at the VFAPI step.

      Try using Avisynth instead. It is more versatile and powerful.

          Enchanter, you are Great!!!

          Aviaynth is wonderful! I've played with the 'getting started' stuff in the docs, and am amazed how simple yet obviously powerful it is. And I love the text script interface, being a *NIX geek myself, and an avid advocate of the command line.
