Custom Quant Matricies

i've been lookin around the pages here and i've seen several references to custom quant matricies for animation/cg but no other info about them, such as examples, actual matrixies that have been made, or info on how to create my own. I have searched this board and have not found one trace of said custom quants. any help would be apreciated, thanx
