Help please? Where can I get a resolution converter for my movie?

When I convert from avi-mpeg, the resoltion changes and squishes the picture together making it like fullscreen. How can I convert it back to widescreen resolution????

Although u don't specify what program u are using, U can resize the movie to widescreen Ratio which is 16/9.
Just Divide

so you are saying once I convert to mpeg, I should split the file, well I tried that already, I converted the file and then I split it to fit on a CD but its still in the wrong resolution

No, splitting won't change the aspect ratio. Tell us first what programms u are using...

The converter I used was both Nero Burning Rom and also "avi2vcd". Both movies I converted were in widescreen mode and after they were converted, they changed to a different resolution like fullscreen. I think I just need a resolution converter or a better avi-mpeg converter that allows me to set the resolution to convert in widescreen mode
