Divx compressed file plays back at twice the size (resolution)

I have been experimenting with VirtualDub and DivX. The DivX copressed files play backat twice the screen size as the original uncompressed file. Any idea why?

Do you happen to be using FFDShow as the decoder for DivX and that its Resize filter is currently active (and set to resize everything to that "double resolution")?

You know, before I posted my question, I verified multiple times that the new file was playing back at a larger size, but now they appear the same size
