Divx avi to d2v_vfapi.avi, is it possible?

Is it possible to create d2v project file (resp. d2v_vfapi.avi) from allready encoded Divx-avi file?

What do you need that for?

vFAPI is a frameserver, used for frameserving streams that cannot be opened in applications easily (DVDs, as a common example). However, DivX-compressed .avi files are easily opened in most programs, most notably Virtualdub, and hence requires no frameserving.

    Regards.

I need to make a shared media (movies) resource that will be accessible from LAN party users, but the catch is that they must not be able to download the movie sources.
If d2v_vfapi.avi is playable with Win Media player it can be used for video streaming source instead of actual movie file.
BTW if you have any other ideas about this, they will help me a lot.
      Thank you.
