    12,500 frames per second?

Why does my downloaded movies state in properties that the FPS rate is 12.500. I dont know whether they are PAL or NTSC. Help, do I need to do something with them?

12.5fps is PAL (25 fps) with half the framerate. For playback on the pc that is really no problem. Simply play the video with your favorite player. If you want to convert it to (S)VCD you should use VirtualDUB to double the framerate.

      True, very true!

Like benderman said, load the file in VD, convert it to avi.

Use TMPGENC to open the avi then select the (S)VCD option then load Nero and burn the (S)VCD

        audio output problem

Thanks for the advice, i have learnt a lot. However when i go to convert my internet movie to avi using virtualdub, i get a message saying "AVI Output the parametre is incorrect". I have tried to change the audio section of VD from direct stream copy, to full processing mode, but this doesnt work. I've tried to append avi segment (whatever this is) but it comes back saying " Cannot apend segment the video parametres are incorrect", is this part of the same problem. to give you an idea the movie is an internet download with russian subtitles, it looks like some bloke took his NTSC video camera to the movies and filmed it.
